Ela
Co-Founder & Project LeadEla is a landscape architect with a strong eye for public space and a natural drive to turn ideas into action. Blending design thinking with community spirit, she brings people together, keeps the vision moving, and somehow makes even the most ambitious projects feel possible.
Axel
Co-Founder & Strategic DirectorAxel is a savvy entrepreneur with a strong passion for social responsibility projects, and very much the brains behind the operation. With sharp thinking and a practical approach, he somehow manages to keep both the ideas and the people moving in the right direction.
Henry
Honorary Founding MemberHenry is a beach maintenance veteran and an honorary member of the Adopt a Beach project. He has spent years taking care of Palm Beach, and it is largely thanks to his dedication that this project even began.
The Beach That Started It All
It didn’t begin with a big idea or a boardroom plan. It began with one man, a stretch of sand, and years of quiet dedication.
Henry had been looking after Palm Beach long before ‘Adopt a Beach’ had a name. Day after day, he showed up — collecting waste, maintaining the shoreline, doing the work that most people walked past without noticing. His commitment was the spark.
When Ela and Axel crossed paths with Henry’s story, something clicked. If one person could make such a visible difference on his own, imagine what an entire community could do. And so, Adopt a Beach Penang was born — a structured, scalable movement built on the same simple principle Henry had lived by all along: show up, take ownership, and care.
